Frequently asked questions
Everything about the PIYEKS live market screen.
Where do prices come from and how fresh are they?
Stock indices (BIST 100, Nasdaq, S&P 500, DAX, Nikkei…) and commodities (Brent, WTI, natural gas, copper…) come from Yahoo Finance and may be delayed depending on the exchange. TRY rates, Turkish gold products and precious metals come from the Genesis live feed, currency pairs from Kraken and crypto from Binance, within seconds. USD/JPY and USD/SEK use the ECB daily reference rate. The badge on each card shows the current source.
How do I build my own board?
Press + in the board tabs, name it (or start from a template) and use Add symbols. In Edit mode drag cards or use ◀ ▶ to reorder, and ✕ to remove.
Do I need an account?
Not for the live screen: without one, your boards stay in your browser. The Strategies section is for members only. A free account syncs boards, alerts, strategies and preferences across all your devices.
What is the strategy lab?
In Strategies you can write your own strategy for futures (MNQ, NQ, MES, ES) in JavaScript, backtest it on archived historical data and follow it in live (paper) simulation. Your code runs only in your browser and is stored only in your account.
How do price alerts work?
Press the bell on a card, choose a level and direction. When the price gets there you hear a sound and get a browser notification (if allowed). The tab must stay open.
Why do BID and ASK differ?
BID is what the market maker pays you, ASK is what it charges you; the difference is the spread. Retail gold/FX spreads are wider than interbank.
What do Pivot, S1/S2, R1/R2 and SHORT/MID/LONG mean?
Pivot, support (S) and resistance (R) come from the classic formula using the previous day's high, low and close. SHORT/MID/LONG show whether price is above (▲) or below (▼) its short, medium and long moving averages. Not investment advice.
Which languages are available?
Turkish, English, German, Italian and Spanish. Your browser language is used on the first visit; switch any time from the language menu at the top. Outside Turkish, default boards show USD-based major pairs.
A free account keeps your boards and strategies on every device.
